This (keeping the self belief) is what Martin Allen feels was the key to Barnet securing a first win in six-matches when a fightback from Crawley was recovered from and a four-two win secured.

At two-up, from a Bira Dembele double, Barnet were in control, but Mitch Hancox and Jimmy Smith’s had Crawley level with 10-minutes to go. Unperturbed the Bees kept going with a John Akinde penalty and Lewis Young own goal winning the points.

Allen felt it was a ‘similar performance last week against Yeovil’ with a ‘nervous energy around the club’ when Crawley got back to two-all but it was ‘all credit to the players, they kept going and got their rewards by keeping the self-belief.’
