Abu Ogogo has joined Barnet on loan for a month.

The defender, who joins from Arsenal, comes in with manager Paul Fairclough in need of defensive cover. Ogogo is looking forward to the move, although Underhill is a ground that he knows well from playing his reserve football at the ground: ‘I have played many times at the ground with Arsenal reserves and love the atmosphere,’ Ogogo told BBC Sport. ‘Youth director Liam Brady suggested that a taste of first-team football with a league side would be good for me.’

The 19-year-old, who was an unused substitute during Arsenal’s midweek Carling Cup win, is expected to go straight into this weekends squad for the match against Notts County. Barnet have also been granted permission to use him in the FA Cup, although he can’t feature in their 1st round replay, as he didn’t play in the original tie.

Are you pleased with the loan signing of Abu Ogogo?
