Martin Allen has talked up Kevin Lisbie, and the role he’ll play for Barnet when fit, but he’s also talked to the Times-Series about Graham Stack and what his return will do for the Bees.

Stack, since Barnet kicked-off the League 2 season, hasn’t been able to be involved due to injury, much like Lisbie with Allen keen for both to be involved soon enough, with Stack a major bonus when the player-coach is fit after he was voted the best ‘keeper on the Conference last season.

Allen said.

‘I’m sure we’re all looking forward to getting him back and getting back the goalkeeper voted number one in the Conference (Graham Stack) back and getting that team onto the pitch.’

With all due respect to those currently filling in for Stack you wouldn’t have thought he’ll have too much trouble regaining his place when he is fit!

Lisbie, given his quality, experience and ability will also get in, with this more likely after the way the Bees boss has talked him up recently, but Michael Gash is one of those who might have other ideas!

He’ll want to keep his place in the starting XI and Gash’s four-goals in five-matches in September has seen him nominated for the September Sky Bet League Two Player of the Month Award!

He’ll find out on Friday if he’s won this.
