Barnet are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Martin Allen as the boss in Barnet’s three-two win at the Kassam Stadium against Oxford on Saturday was enough to earn him the role of boss of the side of the most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Allen was selected as the man to lead the team but explaining the choice – the Football League blurb read.

‘Allen guided his Barnet troops to their first victory on the road since returning to The Football League, and they did it in style against high-flying Oxford United.

‘The U’s were defending an unbeaten home record this term, but the Bees upset the odds by clinching a 3-2 triumph at the Kassam Stadium.’

It’s always good to see us represented in this way, and well played to Allen for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the three points, which he led Barnet too!

Full Team – Tom Heaton (Burnley), Andrew Robertson (Hull City), Carl McHugh (Plymouth Argyle), Hayden White (Blackpool), Fernando Forestieri (Sheffield Wednesday), George Thorne (Derby County), Abu Ogogo (Shrewsbury Town), Darren Ambrose (Colchester United), Zak Ansah (Newport County), Moussa Dembele (Fulham), Aiden O’Brien (Millwall).

Manager – Martin Allen (Barnet)
